TransferGo to Introduce Crypto Transfers

Reading Time: 2 minutes

In a post on its website, TransferGo announced it will soon be adding a basket of cryptocurrencies to its platform. TransferGo is a leading money transfer operation, similar to MoneyGram and Western Union. It serves customers in 47 countries around the globe, including the USA, UK, China, Germany, and Australia. However, it is no stranger to the world of crypto. Similarly to American Express, TransferGo has teamed up with Ripple to process its cross-border payments, helping it to keep fees lows and speeds high.

Increased Client Demand

Due to the fact cryptocurrencies are becoming more popular and commonplace throughout the world, TransferGo felt the need to listen to consumer demand and add the service. In the first few hours of launching the signup option for crypto payments, it recorded over 4,000 new users registrations. This increased demand for crypto transfers and trading could be linked to the fact more businesses are beginning to accept crypto as a payment method. With New York providing regulated BitLicenses to companies who wish to operate in the state, crypto acceptance is beginning to boom.

A Host of Popular Cryptos

The payment transfer company has said it will initially be launching with Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ether, Ripple, and Litecoin, with the view to add more popular cryptos if the demand for them arises. This echoes the sentiment over at Skrill with the launch of their new crypto trading wallets. In recent months, more companies have been launching simplistic and instant crypto trading, quite possibly due to increased demand from users for the service. Currently trading cryptos on a crypto exchange can be quite daunting for beginners, and this has led to a growth in the simplistic trading sector.

Taking a Friendly Approach to Crypto

TransferGo has decided to take a friendly approach towards crypto. Rather than overcomplicating the subject of cryptos, it has taken a rather novel turn, simply describing them “like tokens in an amusement park, or credits you might buy for an app or mobile game.” This gentle and friendly approach makes the crypto world seem that bit less scary for first-time investors and users.
There is definitely an increasing demand for fast, cheap and simplistic crypto trading solutions as a new wave of less technical people want to get involved with the crypto world. Companies like TransferGo are helping to bring crypto adoption to the masses. With crypto ATMs popping up all over the place, it’s only a matter of time before crypto becomes a recognized payment method nearly everywhere.
